Effort Is Its Own Reward

No man is crushed by misfortune unless he has first been deceived by prosperity.

— Seneca, Letters from a Stoic 98.6

Today’s workout might feel like a misfortune, a heavy weight, or a brutal metcon. But it’s not. It's an opportunity to apply effort, to test your limits, and to build resilience. There's no deception here, just honest work.

Embrace the grind. The real reward isn't just the physical outcome, but the mental fortitude you cultivate by showing up and giving your best, regardless of how you feel. Don't let comfort deceive you into thinking less effort is acceptable.

Today's challenge: During today's WOD, find one moment when you want to quit or scale back, and instead, push through it for just 5 more seconds or 1 more rep.

1- 25 Russian KB swings

2- 2 x 40ft Forward Sled Drag

3 - 150m run

L1= 35/25, 3/1 x 45, 100m run

L2= 53/35, 4/2 x 45

L3= 70/53, 70/53, 5/3 x 45

L4= 90/70, 6/4 x 45

**Adjust sled straps/load within the KB minute after completing the swings. **

For the runs, touch sledpost with hand on one side & touch foot on line on other side.

If sharing a sled, set up across from your partner. The first sled puller starts at the same side as their KB, pulling the sled away from it. They will then run an odd # of runs and end back at their KB for the swings. The sled will always return to you in this format.

If you have your own sled, you will loop the kb handle over the center sled post in lieu of 1 plate, so the kb will always be with you. Don’t just set the kb on top of the plates, as it will fall off.
