Action Over Analysis
Don't waste any more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 10.16
How often do we stand at the edge of the squat rack, debating the perfect weight, the ideal rep scheme, or the optimal warm-up? Or in life, we overthink a decision, analyzing every angle until the opportunity passes. We get caught in the trap of endless preparation, convincing ourselves we're being thorough, when often, we're just avoiding the discomfort of starting.
The Stoics understood that virtue isn't found in theory, but in practice. It's not about knowing what's right, but doing what's right. Stop the internal monologue, step up to the bar, and begin. Your actions, not your intentions, define you.
Today's challenge: Today, pick one thing you've been overthinking — in the gym or out — and just start it, no further analysis allowed.
