The Only True Good
True freedom isn't about doing whatever you want, whenever you want.
The Only True Good
No man is free who is not master of himself.
— Epictetus, Discourses 4.1.1
True freedom isn't about doing whatever you want, whenever you want. It's about being in command of your own mind, your reactions, and your choices. It's about showing up, even when you don't feel like it, and doing the work that builds you up, not tears you down.
This self-mastery is the only thing truly within your control. Every rep, every run, every moment you push past discomfort is a chance to practice this freedom. Don't let external circumstances or fleeting emotions dictate your actions; you are the master of your own effort.
Today's challenge: Today, identify one small moment where you feel like giving up or cutting corners, and consciously choose to push through it with full effort.
