Stay In The Arena
It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.
— Seneca, Letters from a Stoic 104.26
Think about the WOD you saw on the board this morning, or that new skill you've been putting off. The perceived difficulty often looms larger than the actual challenge. We hesitate, we overthink, and in doing so, we make the task itself feel heavier, more insurmountable than it truly is.
But what if you just started? What if you stepped into the arena, regardless of the daunting scale? The act of beginning, of daring to try, often dismantles the mental barriers that make things seem impossible. Don't let fear of difficulty prevent you from engaging; engage, and the difficulty will often shrink.
Today's challenge: Today, pick one thing you've been avoiding in your workout or daily life, and just start it — even if it's just for five minutes.
