2017 CrossFit Open is Coming!

This is an exciting time of year as the Open season is upon us and is the ONE TIME when we are going to encourage every single person to consider registering to test and measure their fitness!

Why Do The Open?

The Open is a great opportunity to compare yourself to yourself. Sometimes we lose sight of this objective and start comparing ourselves to others, but the spirit of The Open is to show you how far you’ve come and how much potential you have for growth!

The Open is:

  • Inclusive with Scaled Options
  • FUN because we’re all in this together, meaning there is a lot of support from your fellow athletes
  • Not mandatory, but strongly encouraged 😉

Special Event – 17.3 Friday Night Lights

Friday, March 10th Kill Cliff will be sponsoring “Friday Night Lights” at Alpine.
What to expect:
  • Lots of demos and prizes to give away!
  • Additional vendors including Crossover Symmetry, Eating Primal, and SFH
  • This is a community event, so a bunch of athletes from the area will be here

Further Open Details

  • This year, The Open will be programmed as our Friday WOD
  • We will release further details about class structures soon!
  • Please register yourself here
    • Designate “Alpine CrossFit” as your affiliate
      • Then “Alpine CrossFit” as your team.

Since its getting close to the start of The Open, today would be a great day to retest one of the previous years workouts to get you back in the mindset of pushing hard and seeing where your fitness is and compare it against the last time you did it!

Workout of the Day:
Take 15 minutes to work up to a heavy 2 RM Bench Press
